A festive, delicious, and EASY go-to treat I’ve been making for over 10 years! This sugar cookie fruit pizza has been a staple at our family parties, backyard BBQs, and Fourth of July get-togethers for as long as I can remember.
When my kids were little, they loved helping in the kitchen — mostly as official taste testers for the fruit and whipped topping! Now that they’re older, they jump in from start to finish, helping bake the cookie base, whip up the topping, and carefully arrange the strawberries and blueberries to make it extra festive.
For added fun, we sometimes use cookie cutters to cut the dough into star shapes before baking — it makes the whole dessert feel extra patriotic and party-ready! ⭐
Ingredients:
For the Base:
- 1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough (or homemade sugar cookie dough)
For the Topping:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip) or homemade whipped cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
For the Fruit:
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- Optional: raspberries, blackberries, or festive sprinkles
Instructions:
- Preheat & Prepare Pan
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a large pizza pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Bake the Cookie Base
- Press the sugar cookie dough evenly onto the pizza pan to form a large circle.
- Optional: Use cookie cutters to cut out star shapes from some of the dough, bake separately for mini star treats!
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Let cool completely.
- Make the Topping
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in whipped topping until combined.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla if desired.
- Assemble the Fruit Pizza
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over cooled cookie crust.
- Arrange strawberries and blueberries on top in a fun, festive pattern — stripes, stars, or however your little (or big!) helpers want to get creative!
- Chill & Serve
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Slice and enjoy — it disappears fast!
It’s simple, delicious, and full of sweet family memories — from little hands helping add fruit to older kiddos making the whole thing with me. It’s truly our Fourth of July favorite! 🎇
